How I Work

From our very first session, I meet you with a warm, non-judgmental, and approachable style that makes it easy to open up and be your most authentic self. I listen deeply with empathy while blending evidence-based clinical approaches—including CBT, EMDR, Trauma- Focused CBT and a deep understanding of family dynamics—to help you explore the patterns and obstacles holding you back. My goal is to ensure you leave each session with both clear insight and actionable tools you can use right away.

I specialize in helping you navigate anxiety, constant stress, and total overwhelm. Whether you are struggling with relationship challenges, deep insecurity, major life transitions, or the emotional weight of traumatic events, I am here to help you heal.

You will never have to face this alone. I partner with you every step of the way, guiding you to strengthen your resilience, reconnect with your true self, and take meaningful steps toward the life you want to create.

About Me

Hi, I’m Alexa. As a Licensed Independent Social Worker, my mission is to help women and teen girls step out of constant anxiety and overwhelm, and navigate life's heaviest moments so they can feel genuinely grounded and peaceful.

I do this work because I truly get it. I love helping clients realize they aren't "crazy"—they are just carrying a lot. You deserve to know that you are not alone, that you have immense worth, and that you have someone in your corner who genuinely cares. I am passionate about helping you sift through the hard things so you can figure yourself out, learn to like yourself better, and rediscover a sense of calm, brightness, and genuine enjoyment in your life.

I am also deeply inspired to help parents learn how to truly connect with and support their teenage daughters, while giving teens a safe space to navigate all the incredibly hard parts of growing up.

Areas of Deep Expertise

  • Trauma Resolution: Trauma changes how the brain and body process safety, relationships, and daily life. Whether it is acute trauma from sexual abuse or the cumulative weight of a difficult past, I use specialized, evidence-based approaches like EMDR and TF-CBT to help clients gently process these memories and find a genuine sense of relief and resolution.

  • Connecting with Teens: The teenage years are a highly unique, fast-paced season of life filled with intense academic pressure, social complexities, and massive identity shifts. I meet teen girls exactly where they are—without judgment or rigid expectations—building a trusted space where they can unpack heavy emotions, manage overwhelming anxiety, and feel truly heard.

  • Navigating Your 20s & 30s: This decade comes with a lot of unwritten rules and heavy expectations. I work extensively with adult women who find themselves completely overwhelmed by pressure, trapped in cycles of people-pleasing, or carrying a deep sense of sadness because life doesn't look the way they thought it would by now. If you are constantly feeling "not good enough," struggling to enjoy your life, or feeling disconnected from who you are, we will work together to dismantle those unrealistic timelines and rebuild a life that actually feels good to live.

What this means for you: My clinical background is deeply rooted in evidence-based, trauma-informed care. I combine specialized, proven strategies with a real, human approach to give you or your family the practical tools and space needed to heal and move forward.

Experience

Since 2019, I have practiced exclusively as a therapist in clinical practice. My background is focused on treating trauma, depression, and anxiety. Today, I bring these specialized tools into my primary work: guiding overwhelmed women and teen girls as they process difficult pasts, manage intense transitions, and find lasting relief.

Prior to working full-time as a therapist, I spent years as a social worker navigating high-stress, complex family situations within pediatrics offices, Child Protective Services (CPS), and an adoption agency.
